Here’s where you’ll find me in 2019
July 13th Edge Lit 8 The Quad, Derby
As well as exploring the event’s outstanding content, I’ll be hosting the Welcome event at Derby’s Edge-Lit 8. Science Fiction and Fantasy is always a welcoming genre, but turning up to an event without knowing anyone can be daunting. This is the second time I’ve had the honour of running the Welcome Event. I can’t wait to find out what people are up to and make new friends.
Edge lit is a great one day only event for Fantasy, Horror, Science Fiction, and Crime. It doesn’t matter where you are in the writing game, you’re welcome here. Packed with workshops designed to improve your skills, it’s probably the most laid back northernish con of the season. You’ll hear from established authors in a variety of panels and workshops and return home buzzing with ideas.
Confirmed Guests of Honour:
Aliette De Bodard, multi-award winning fantasy and science-fiction author
Anne Charnock, Arthur C Clarke Award winning author of Dreams Before the Start of Time
Christopher Golden, New York Times Bestselling Author of Ararat and The Pandora Room – joining us from the US!
Neil Spring, bestselling author of The Ghost Hunters, The Watchers, The Lost Village and The Burning House
Sarah Lotz, acclaimed horror and thriller author (The Three)
Tim Lebbon, popular dark fantasy and horror novelist (The Silence)
Special Guest:
Stephen Volk, author and scriptwriter (TV’s Ghostwatch, Afterlife, Midwinter of the Spirit)
